I am incredibly awkward and sometimes negative.
I get attached too easily, and hold on for too long.
I don't like opening up to people. Most 5 year old
children can express their feelings better than me.
I'm terrified of being hurt. I tend to act older that I am.
I'm probably one of the most difficult people you'll
ever meet. But I can be sweet. I'm a great listener.
I'll guard your secrets with my life. I will never judge
you based on your mistakes. And I'll love you as much
as I can. I can be, if you let me, one of the best things
in your life.

Yap yap yappity yap

First and foremost, I apologize for my hiatus. Eh? has it been that long? Nah, just a little over 2 weeks. Why did it feel like I was abandoning my blog though? Hm, strange. Anyway, I haven't got the opportunity to blog much since well, my cousin stayed with me for her semester break and there's not enough privacy for me to actually blog. I'm the kind of person who'd prefer to be completely left alone for me to be able to pour my heart out. Anyway, there's a lot of things happened. More family dramas, more middle-child syndrome cases, more disappointments, more escapism, more *coughs* feelings *coughs* develops *cough**cough* ;)

I got a lot to be thankful for, really. Yes, I may not have the most affectionate or understanding parents but they never fail to provide me and my brothers what we need. Yes, I am suffering from this shit called Middle-Child Syndrome or lovingly referred to as MCS, but that's what made me who I am today. A girl who can stand on her own two feet. Someone who may break down and cry today but pick herself up and fight again the next. Yes, I may feel lonely most of the times but hey, I'm used to that. So Alhamdulillah for everything I have.

Okay, moving on. Last Wednesday I went out with *ehem* and um, it was beyond great I would say. People said "Unplanned things are the best" and yeap, couldn't agree more. Except for the fact that I look like asdfghjkl and was still beyond sleepy when I reached KLCC. But that's the wonders of love, you'd do absolutely anything! oops, did I just dropped the L-word? My bad ;)

May 27th

All Hell Breaks Loose.

I woke up at 9am today to the sound of my phone's reminder alarm. It's May 27th. His birthday. We would go celebrate it...if we're still together,of course. I thought I'd never blog about him anymore but whatever. I need to get this feeling out somewhere somehow. It's sad really. I got it all mapped up and planned out. Today was supposed to be a special day. We'd drive up to the rabbit farm at Bukit Tinggi and have a picnic. I'd cook some mac & cheese and bake his favorite chocolate chips cookies. Then we'll go sightseeing and spend time talking, just the two of us on the hood of his car. He'll wrap his arms around me, makes me feel safe and convince me I'm his one true love and he'll never let go. But those are just dreams now. Some "could-have-been" that I have to live with. I hope he wouldn't find my blog or something. I'm pathetic, I know. I'm not pining for him anymore, I know I could never accept him back. But this huge hole in my heart just keeps getting bigger. You were my life, and now ever since the day we died all I can think of was how I could never find any guy who gets me like you do. So Happy Birthday, I wish you as sincere as my heart can be, all the best and I hope you're happy with your life.

P/s: Should have deleted that damned reminder

Mundane thoughts

My life is fucked up.

I was so used to being alone that when the house was filled with people, it became overwhelming. What a sad sad person I'm becoming. What's wrong dear ili? I have no clue. I hate being alone, I hate being with people. I need my closest friends. Those are the peeps I'm truly comfortable with. Even families made me feel alienated sometimes. I don't feel that warmth anymore. Maybe when my brothers come back this mundane feeling will alleviate but I doubt that. As we grow older I noticed we actually grew apart too. Everyone living in the same house, yet in their own world. Hadzri with his laptop and sketches and models. Zami with his books and Quran and flying simulator. Ajim with his desktop and games and more games. And me, left alone with my thoughts and earphones and music. What is family? pfft.

Old wounds heal fast

I had a breakup almost 6 months ago, but we keep in touch on and off for another 4 months. And right now I can proudly say I'm OVER him, and I'm moving on. Here's the thing, I fancy this friend of mine and some people asked me how I got over my ex quickly? i get why they asked me that, because the proper closure that we had was only about over a month ago. That was when he finally accepted that things will never be like old times for us and there's nothing else to do than to bid goodbye and move on. I on the other hand, has accepted this fact from the moment we had our last fallout. I knew I could never love him the same way again. It would be degrading if I bare all the reasons that made me fell out of love with him. All I can say is, I'm indifferent towards him. So, even when we only reached our proper closure for a little over a month, is it wrong for me to say I'm in love with someone else? I mean, it's still so new to be called love, but it feels like it. And I know this feelings I have is not some sort of rebound shit coz I already over him.

I'm trapped inside my own feelings. Terjerat dengan perasaan yang penuh belah-bahagi. Ecewahh jiwangs kau noks! ok, back to English. I'm not confused with how i feel. I know i like him a lot. A whole fuckin lot. Oh scrap that, I love him! alright? nope, it's not alright! i'm flipping over the edge here! i'm full of doubts and what ifs...this funny brain of mine been working overtime thinking about him. WTF am i doing to myself? i need to snap out of this and save myself before i get seriously hurt. i'm falling fast, and hard. The thing is, this has no guarantee. I don't even know if he'll reciprocate the feelings i have for him. I really need to stop falling and just hold it in. I can't take anymore heartbreak, I refuse to be broken again.

I told you so

Day after day

I feel a little less.
Whatever respect I had just went missing.
Never thought I would heal this fast.

This was what he wrote on his Tumblr. All I can say is, I've told you you're going to get over me. I'm not that difficult to forget. So, kudos to you. May you live a better life.

Post kali ni dalam Bahasa Ibunda pulak. Heheh. Suka hati je tukar2 bahasa kan? Persetankan.

Adik kesayangan yang baru cukup seminggu cuba hidup di MRSM Kuala Berang dah menelefon minta di bawa pulang. Acane? Mama dgn suka hatinya nak bwk anak bongsu manja tu balik. Pada hemat aku, sekurang-kurangnya cuba la bertahan utk sebulan. Dalam seminggu apa la yg kau nampak? Alasan nya ringkas, "Orang kat sini suka bergaduh". Wahai adikku sayang, manusia mmg macam tu. Lagi bila kau tinggal di sebelah timur, kawasan yg majoritinya org Kelantan. Bukan aku nak mengutuk, tapi itulah realitinya. Sabar dik, hidup org kau x kacau insyaallah hidup kau aman. Tapi kalau org kacau jugak, give him a piece of your mind. Aku tahu kau x suka diganggu, tapi itu adat hidup beramai-ramai. Perseverance. Itu yg kau tak pernah ada, dan itu juga yg perlu kau cari. Bukan di tempat lain tapi dari dalam diri kau sendiri.

P/S: Bahasa Melayu aku dah berkarat -.-"

Wangsa Maju :)

Ain't got no pictures to share though, sorry. I'm not in a good enough mood to take photos. Heh.

So I woke up for Subuh around 6.30am and I slept for another hour before mom woke me up. Then I do some laundry, have a toast and off to Danau UKM for a swim. I was thinking of going there on a daily basis, but RM5 per day for an hour? Maybe not.

Anyway, I thought about being home alone and it sucks. And I don't want to be alone today, especially today. I was coping with...everything and I. Just. Can't. Afford. To. Be. Alone. Not today.

So I decided I would just go for a drive with no finite destination or purpose. Why not? That's better than staying home alone and bawling my eyes out. And that's exactly what I did. I rushed home, showered and get dressed and start driving. Just fucking drive. I didn't even know where I was going. And just as soon as I entered MRRII and passing Sungai Besi, the phone rang. It was Nazmi, and just like that, I got my destination :) Wangsa Maju it is!

It was my first time driving to Wangsa Maju. Heck, I've never really been there. The only place I set foot in Wangsa Maju was Wangsa Walk and that was before its grand opening, when there was just a karaoke place and bowling. So yeah, it was quite an experience. I gotta say, today is a day well spent. :)

The Little One

Nice picture, half-face -____-" this is my youngest brother, Hazimin or fondly called ajim and once upon a time known as "baby". I forgot how time can fly so fast and in a blink of an eye, we were all grown up. Including this little guy who isn't very little at all. He's taller than me now =.=" First I should congratulates him for his great results in UPSR and getting a place in MRSM Kuala Berang, Terengganu. Although I rarely saw any of your efforts, you deserve a pat in the back nonetheless, brother. I am so going to miss you :( Thanks for keeping me company all the while I'm home. And thanks for obeying me when I ask you to help around with the chores. I might be hard on you most of the times and that's only because I don't want you to end up being a useless spoilt brat. I know mom and dad tends to spoil and be all complacent with you, and you never really listen to them anyway, so I gotta be the one disciplining you. I'm sorry if sometimes I bugged you too much when you were playing your computer games. And thank you for not being a fussy eater, thanks for finishing up the meals i cooked although I know it's not that tasty. Omg, here come the tears. I took care of you when you were little, ran all the way home from school to bathe you, change your nappies together with Hadzri, fed you, play with you, cradle you, burp you (you even threw up on me). Watching you grow so fast, and realizing it's time for me to say goodbye, it's just so hard. Be good, and make mom and dad proud. I know I already am :) Take care, I wish you all the best. You will always be my little brother.

Hey You,

Remember me? I was the one who held your hands through everything, who guided you when you were lost, who was by your side when no one else did. The one that loved you and didn't need anything in return, but for you to love me too. I never judged you. Everything I did was all for you. I thought you understood how I felt about you, but I was wrong. I guess I was never good enough or worthy enough to be yours. I guess you were too blind to see what I was offering. All you did was hurt me, made me cry, and pushed me away and I fought with every inch of me to stay. But I can't stay anymore. How can I stay when you no longer want me, need me, or love me? Your happiness was always over mine, but I think this time I should think about myself and for once, not you. I deserve to be happy. I really do.

Overwhelming emotions

Right now, I feel like my heart is going to burst. Everything is confusing, perplexing, and squeezing me out of my sanity. I'm not sure of what's real and what's not anymore. I don't even have the will to blog or tell anyone about how I feel. This is so not good. This is damaging.

I'm in celebratory mood right now :D After weeks of major procrastination, I finally finished my internship report in one day! damn, it feels GOOD! I came to work and started doing it right away. So instead of settling my office work, I use my time at the office to fully concentrate on doing my report. Like a boss! :DD I didn't even have lunch! well, that's obviously a lie coz I can't function right when I'm extra super hungry. I do have a very light lunch though. This was what I ate

That's 2 slices of toast and some guava. And they cost me only RM 1.60! cheapest lunch ever! I got a lot to smile for today. Alhamdulillah :D

P/s: I just had sushi for dinner. Please be envious ;D

Hashtag30FactsAboutMe

Everyone was doing #30FactsAboutMe on Twitter sometime ago and it's kind of a good idea in my opinion, coz you can share more about yourself. But I get a bit (just a teeny tiny wee bit) annoyed when my timeline gets flooded with tweets about this particular hashtag which results in 300+ unread twitter messages in my mobile phone. Oh, and another thing, 30 Facts About Me should not include "I got this verrry looong hair which is sooo straight and I'm lovin' it!" yeah, I get it, it's a fact that your hair is long. But isn't that obvious already? everyone who knows you knows you got long hair. The facts for me should be things that not many people know about you and when they read 'em, they'd be like "oh, she actually likes reading this genre of books" or " he's not all tough as he portrays himself to be" you know, something that actually tell people more about you. Not the obvious things. There's this one tweet I actually laughed out loud at in the not-so-private vicinity of my office cubicle.

"#30FactsAboutMe 19. I tweet using my Iphone" via Iphone   *facepalm*
Seriously bitch? obvious much? I don't wanna live in this planet anymore.

P/s: I might be doing my own #30FactsAboutMe someday. But I'd do it in this blog instead of Twitter. I don't have any intention to flood my followers timeline :)

Of silver lining, Da Vinci code, and birthday presents

I finished reading this book last night. It was great, a new perspective of Christianity and a whole new sense of gratitude to be born a Muslim. People who had read this would know what I mean. Personally, I prefer Stieg Larsson's flair of writing compared to Dan Brown's. Brown's style of storytelling is matter-of-factly and straight to the point, which would be most suitable if you're writing a history book or non-fictions. I've never been so engrossed in a crime fiction before until I came across Stieg Larsson's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I've read all three books from the trilogy and still remember all the details.

I know the covers don't look like much, but hey, never judge a book by its cover :) I guarantee you, the read is totally worth the money and time and lack of sleep. Read 'em only if you love crime fiction and don't mind reading about extreme violence. And if you support women rights, you'd be thrilled to read 'em.

Moving on, I was supposed to attend Avril Lavigne's concert tomorrow night with my girls. But I couldn't make it coz, well the usual. I got the green light from my mom but when it comes to my forever overprotective father, it's a moot point "No". The rebellious and defiant side of me wanted to just go and not give a damn. I could really use some fun time right now. I feel like I've been living alone. I don't even talk to anyone in my house. The old me would do that without thinking twice. But now that I promised myself to try and be a better daughter, I ought to obey my parents and be mature about it. Then maybe my dad would see me as a grown up. Plus, parents have this hunches or "sixth sense" that we as their children can never fathom until we become parents. They usually can sense whether it's safe or not to let go of their kids. So yeah, maybe there's some silver lining behind this cloud of gloom. So I sold my tickets to an officemate who looked beyond happy (she got the front ticket at a low price) and I can't help but feel happy too. Making others' day can be such an accomplishment.

I took a day off today (hehe) and I deserve it I must say. This week is super hectic and I feel pressured with all the multi-tasking I'm forced to do. I have to prepare a summary of all the insurance policy for all Sime Darby Subsidiaries to be submitted to Group Risk Management. Do you know how many Sime Darby subsidiaries here in Malaysia? Three fucking hundred! and I have to make sure all of those things is ready in four days. Damn, it feels good to take a day off :D I got a perfect present for my physic-crazy brother today :) Life's good, Alhamdulillah

the big two one

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to silly me...happy birthdayy toooo meeeee!! *clap**clap*

If my mom's home, she would treat me for all-i-can-eat dinner followed up by whatever-flavor-i-want cake. I'd be so damn full that I wouldn't even be sitting here, in front of my laptop, blogging my sorry ass off. Nah, I'm not that pathetic. I got my friends and my super marvelous bestfriends! So, even though my birthday isn't really special or whatever, I'm thankful nonetheless. God have given me some of the most precious gifts anyone in the world could have. I still have my parents, shelter, money for my needs, my family, my crazy girls (you know who you are bonts!), good health and well, just about everything.

I'm kind of having some mental block right now, which most probably because of this PMS thingy I'm having. Yeah, it sucks to have your first day of period on your birthday. So, this is one damn short entry.
Till next time, au revoir :)

A pinch of this, a taste of that

So, this is what I made for a light dinner. My dad just came back from sending mom to the airport. She got some seminars in Kota Bharu and won't be back until Friday. So there's only 3 of us left, my dad, me and my lil brother. My dad brought McDonald's for dinner (very exemplary, dad) but I'm not that hungry to eat a big mac (see, my dad thought I was a guy. Big mac, really??) so I decided to make a simple dish with some french bread. I actually not sure of what people call it. I just call it "roti panjang" which I used to hit my brother with. Hehe. So here's the easy-peasy recipe:
First, the ingredients
  • fresh tomatoes
  • 1/2 fresh onion
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1 bunch fresh basil
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • french bread (I seriously not sure what it's called. sorry)
I used 1 and a half tomatoes for a serving of 3. It's really up to you to put in as many or as less as you prefer. The same goes to the onion, garlic, basil, salt and pepper. As long as it tastes good, It's good to go :)

Here's the steps
1) Dice the tomatoes as small as you could. I'm not a good cook, so my tomatoes were a bit chunky
2) Finely chop the onion (make sure it's fine) and put 'em in the bowl together with the tomatoes
3) Chop the garlics (also make sure it's fine) and toss 'em into the bowl of deliciousness
4) Add some fresh basil to taste
5) Add in the extra virgin olive oil, salt, and pepper and mix the ingredients thoroughly. It is best to leave the   mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to ensure the flavors really blend in (I'm starting to feel like a chef now ;P)
6) This is the part where you toast 'em bread. It's best to use an oven, but since mine broke down, I just used the toaster. As long as you toast it, any method would be fine.
7) Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the bread with olive oil. Then apply a thin layer (very2 thin layer, for those calorie conscious people out there) of sour cream onto the bread
8) Finally pile as much of the bruschetta as possible onto the bread and enjoy!

Ok, so I actually ended up with some leftovers (coz I only made 3 toasted bruschetta) so guess what? If you're a lazybum like me and don't want to go through anymore of those bread-cutting and toasting and brushing and all that, you can just eat 'em like that. Y'all know, make a damn salad.

There you go, healthy food to the max!

My Birthday is tomorrow ;)

I LOVE YOU, PLEASE COME HOME NEXT WEEK SO THAT WE CAN GO STUFF OURSELVES SILLY WITH CAKES AND FANCY FOOD :D

I'm lovin' Angels instead

I'm missing my grandma :') It's been a while since my last visit to Terengganu and I miss my tokwan (my grandma) dearly. She's the angel who shed some light into my life. Her perspectives in life calms me down every time. She's turning 80 this year, and I can't help but wonder how I would cope when the time finally comes for her to go. I still remember when my to'ki (my grandpa) passed away. I was 8 years old and my mom was pregnant with my youngest brother, only 4 days away from labor. To'ki was staying in our house but he didn't look sick at all. I still remember the morning I was supposed to go to school but I didn't want to coz my grandparents were home and I wanted to stay with them. And how to'ki and tokwan coaxed me to go. For some reason I refused to hug to'ki because he didn't give me any tamarind sweets (gula2 asam jawa made in Terengganu). When I came home, mom told me he was admitted into National Heart Institute. And later that evening, my beloved to'ki passed away. No more tamarind sweets from him. Forever. I spent the night waiting around for the coffin, hoping I could get a glimpse of my late grandpa. My parents won't let me though, and I ran upstairs spending time on my own. I was overwhelmed with remorse and guilt. I refused to hug my late grandpa on his last day being alive. But I promised him, I promised myself I wouldn't let him down anymore. He always told me to "belajar pandai2, jaga mama baba, jaga adik2, hormat org tua, jadi org baik. x baik x dpt gula2 asam." I'm trying my best, to'ki. I miss you loads. And your gula2 asam :) Yes, he's the reason behind my love for asam, jeruk and all sour things.

My tokwan never gets mad at her grandchildren. There's 23 of us and 5 great-granchildren. She treated all of us like her own child, fussing around us up and down. Did we have enough food? How's our study? How's life? Did we have boyfriend/girlfriend? And her cooking is the best ever. I personally love the sambal belacan she made. Something so simple, yet so full of love (this sounds corny, I know). And her ikan bakar, no one can top that! She's always calm and collected, one of the reason why I feel so at ease with her. Me, being a rebel since I was a kid, often seek solace in the company of tokwan. When my parents were mad at me, she would talk to me nicely without nagging or showing signs of disapproval. I just love my tokwan, she got so much love. And this song, Angel sang by Robbie William (I'm not a big fan of Jessica Simpson's version, hurt my ears xP) is very fitting and never fails to remind me of my grandparents love.

"And through it all, she offers me protection. A lot of love and affection, whether I'm right or wrong" Robbie Williams - Angel

TGIF!! :)

I caught myself smiling all day when it's Friday...mostly because it's the last working day and I get to wake up late the next morning! aaaaand I get to have lunch with my brother (sister) from another mother! She's none other thaaan...
Glitter Words
Haha...I know you hate the name "adawiyah" and that's exactly why I put it instead of Irwansyah! Love you long time babe :)

Anyway, work is great! I'm starting to get the hang of things (after two months? brain, Y U NO Wake Up?!) and I feel damn good after submitting a work which I know I've made great effort to finish and actually understands. My colleague *cough* superior *cough* actually congratulated me! Although it was only through e-mail, but I feel appreciated. And she smiled at me all day (which is super weird, coz she's one of those I'm-a-go-getter-and-super-serious-I-demand-you-to-do-this-and-that-and-fix-this-mess kind of people) It feels great coming from someone who is very committed to their work. I would never forget this :)

Okay, so here's the thing that spoiled my mood a little bit. juuuust a little teeny tiny bit, since I'm too tired and sleepy to care.

This is the coffee table in front of the tv in the living area upstairs. And that's my room's door. Yesterday there was nothing on that table. My house is turning into a bachelor's pad and I hate it. Brothers can be such a pain in the neck when it comes to cleaning up. And I got 3. Just you wait, I'mma wake up at 8 tomorrow and go switch on all the freakin lights in your rooms, switch off the fans and airconds and knock on the doors so hard until you can sleep no more! That's all I can do for revenge though. Still, that's better than nothing ;D

Mila Kunis Mila Kunis Mila Kunis

"You know the days when you wanted to choose to not get out of bed, You're lost in your head again..."  Foster The People - Helena Beat
And this is definitely the day. Thank god it's February 1st. It's Federal Territory Day here in Malaysia! yay! NO FRIGGIN WORK! i woke up at 9 though. Still quite early.

So I had some pizza from Dominos (pizza for breakfast? i know i'm awesome) without the guilt of getting fat or whatever shits cuz i'm legendary like that xP and these thoughts and realizations dawned on me. I got a friggin 1 month more or less to complete my internship report and presentation. Oh My Gucci Prada Fendi Fossil and-whatever-high-end-brands-out-there! I haven't done a single thang! Not even the company background (which is confusing than ever, because Sime Darby have at the very least 300 subsidiaries and my job scope is damn big, like I learn everything but not in depth) So yeah, most of my friends got their projects and whatnot. I don't. Simple as that and I'm freaking out. What am I supposed to be presenting and reporting? And my Internship supervisor is coming on Friday. I hope he could brief us what we should have in the reports and presentation. I guess I should go and do some research or whatever for the company background. OR I could watch Friends with Benefits! You know, the ones with Justin Timberlake and the ever smokin' hot Mila Kunis (damn, I love her eyes). Procrastination is my middle name  ;)

I'mma make myself some warm green tea (with 1 tablespoon of sugar) and super yummy banana split with vanilla ice-cream and fruit sorbet I just bought then watch Friends with Benefits and droolin' over Mila Kunis! Life is perfect :)

Monday Blues

The picture says it all. Everything sucks on Monday. You have this extra tendency to overslept, wake up late and be all groggy. Then there's the Monday morning rush where you'd most probably skip breakfast after realizing the streets would be extra jammed. Oh yes, only on Mondays. From what I observed, the traffic is definitely busier on Mondays. Even the LRT i take to get to work everyday is packed with people I don't normally see on any other days. I have a theory about this weekly phenomenon (not much of a theory actually, but whatevs). It's simple really, the fact that Monday is the beginning of weekdays after 2 days of weekend is the culprit. You work from Monday to Friday, most probably wake up late on Saturday and Sunday. So when it gets to Monday, the brain is in a transition between waking up late on weekends and waking up early on weekdays. Thus, the extra traffic due to waking up late. So much for a theory huh? Anyway, I love my lazy weekends and I totally despise workdays. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna wake up a wee bit late and getting ready a wee bit later than usual. Then my dad would rush me and I would forgot my umbrella again (thanks, dad) and the LRT coach would be packed and I'd have to stand by the train door again. Only on Mondays.

New Kid On The Blog...Well not really

So, I've deleted my previous blog. I think it's a little too personal with too much information. Or it's just plain boring. Idk. I just thought I needed to start a new chapter and what other fabulous way to do that other than deleting the old blog and starting a new one? I was being sarcastic. But I wish life could be that easy, starting over whenever you feel like it and deleting the old one and have a clean slate. There's no such thing as a clean slate, mind you. Everyone carry their own baggage filled with mistakes, guilt, pride, regrets, happiness, shame, et cetera. In short, a past. And that's what made us who we are and a reminder to keep pushing forward and be a better version of ourselves. An upgraded one. Speaking of which, I haven't upgrade my browser. No wonder the freakin Firefox is mighty slow lately. Anyway, I might not be posting routinely but I promised myself to try and blog on a regular basis. I know my writing skills need it :) So here's to the new blog and my feeble attempt at trying to keep one!
